President’s Message

May 2010

Last month, we relocated to an attractive and convenient meeting place, the Club Venetian, in Madison Heights.  We received much positive feedback from you, our members, about the new meeting site.  This facility will allow you more networking opportunities with the dinner roundtable setting. 

Our association has gained great momentum.  During the last six months, we have presented several great Saturday all-day seminars and are now finishing plans for an exciting fall and winter program schedule. From local and national speakers and our famous panel of experts to, of course, our popular roundtable meetings, it’s always a great informative and educational Thursday night at the REIA of Oakland general membership meeting. 

Your Board is working hard to offer even more real estate investing knowledge and resources to our members and guests. 

Our newsletter is a remarkable success and we invite all vendors to participate in it and we encourage all members to support these sponsors.

I hope that you find time in your busy schedules to get involved with your association. We are always looking for effective, passionate volunteers and committee members. We cannot make our program, membership and sponsorship committees successful without you.

Please make it a point to make use of all the discounts you are entitled to as members of REIA of Oakland.  Home Depot, Sherwin Williams Paint, OfficeMax, etc all provide discounts to our members.  Feel free to contact any board member or Christine with any suggestions you may have to improve the group.

I particularly enjoy the new friendships that I have made, and I am sure that they will last for years to come.
